Web retailers cast a wider net with bigger and better affiliate marketing

Of the web retailing organizations responding to the question "How effective is affiliate marketing in generating online sales compared to other forms of marketing that you use to promote your retail web site?," 16.8% rated affiliate marketing as highly effective, compared with 20.1% who responded somewhat more effective and 46.8% who rated their affiliate program about the same or slightly less effective.
