Linens ‘n Things Inc. has hired Jane Gilmartin to be its new chief merchandising officer. Gilmartin was formerly senior vice president and general merchandise manager of the discount stores division of Ross Stores Inc., an off-price retailer of apparel and home accessories.
Gilmartin also held senior merchandising positions at various specialty retailers, including Bed, Bath & Beyond and Service Merchandise, and was CEO of Intercontinental Art Inc.
At Linens ‘n Things, where she will report to president and chief operating officer Jack Moore, Gilmartin will play a key role in expanding the chain’s content, trend merchandising and brand building efforts both in the stores and online.
On the web Gilmartin will also help Linens ‘n Things broaden its online inventory and merchandising message.
