In terms of visits, eBay led the pack, with 47.6 million, but was down 17% from 57.3 million visits a year ago. Amazon placed second, with unique visits of 32 million but was 4% below last year’s total of 33.4 million. Yahoo! Shopping came in third, with 16.6 million visits, down 10% from 18.5 million visits, followed by Expedia, 16.5 million, up 4% from 15.9 million; Shopping.com Network, 15 million, up 5% from 14.3 million; Dell; Orbitz, 11.9 million, down 2% from12.1 million; Travelocity, 11.8 million, down 5% from 12.3 million; Wal-Mart stores, 11.7 million, up 9% from 10.7 million, and Overstock.com.
In average time per business, eBay led with 2 hours, nine minutes and 17 seconds, followed by Dell, 23 minutes, 11 seconds; Amazon, 19 minutes, 47 seconds; Travelocity, 15 minutes, 31 seconds; Expedia, 14 minutes, 54 seconds; Orbitz, 12 minutes, 14 seconds; Overstock.com, 11 minutes, 11 seconds; Wal-Mart, 9 minutes, 41 seconds; Yahoo! Shopping, 4 minutes 56 seconds; and Shopping.com Network, 3 minutes, 29 seconds.
Also in February, General Mills had the most online ad impressions among the top 10 shopping destinations, according to Nielsen’s Ad Relevance report.
