Scene7’s eCatalog solution has increased conversions by a factor of up to two times for Restoration Hardware’s web site and boosted online sales by 20% in its first month of use by furniture retailer Rhodes Inc., the dynamic imaging technology provider reports.
Through the hosted, outsourced service, Restoration Hardware used the same digital files that serve as the basis of its printed catalog to upload the catalog online. The files are delivered in PDF to Scene7, which prepares them for online publication within about a week. The service, says Restoration Hardware vice president of e-commerce Stephanie Garcia, has freed time for Restoration Hardware’s web team to develop other online initiatives. Dynamic imaging capabilities from Scene7 have contributed to RestorationHardware.com`s recent increase in conversion rate, Garcia adds.
Rhodes uses Scene7 eCatalog service to deliver regionally-based online circulars to drive customers to stores. Conversion rates for the regionalized online circulars have so far doubled that of its direct e-mail campaigns, according to Scene7. Rhodes also has realized reduced production costs by being able to re-purpose print materials and extend regional advertising and store promotions online.
