Drugstore is top health and beauty site, Hitwise reports

Drugstore.com accounted for 8.58% of all traffic to health and beauty sites last week, Internet traffic measurement company Hitwise reports.

 

Drugstore.com led all health and beauty sites in traffic last week, Internet traffic measurement company Hitwise reports. Drugstore.com accounted for 8.58% of all traffic to health and beauty sites. A strong second was Avon.com, with 6.84%.

The top 10 health and beauty sites and their share of visitors last week were:
Drugstore.com, 8.58%
Avon.com, 6.84%
Walgreens.com, 6.42%
Atkins.com, 5.7%
Sephora.com, 2.58%
1800contacts.com, 2.37%
RiteAid.com, 2.32%
Water.com, 2.12%
Lancome-USA.com, 1.96%
CVS.com, 1.92%

Water.com and Lancome-USA.com both came on strong for the week, with Water.com moving up from 87th in market share to 8th and Lancome-USA from 49th to 9th.

Visits to health and beauty sites have increased 22% this year, Hitwise reports.
