Retailers have teased and rolled out online deals for days, even weeks, but the real Black Friday is here.

Web-based sales represented 29.2% of Coldwater Creek’s total sales, up from 27.9% a year ago. Total sales for the Sandpoint, ID-based retailer of women’s apparel and accessories rose grew 29.7% in the quarter.
For the full year, web sales increased 12.6% to $149.8 million from $133 million in the prior year. Web-based sales represented 31.7% of the company`s total net sales for the year, vs. 30.5% the year earlier. For the full year, total sales grew 8.6% to $473.2 million.
"The holiday merchandise assortment was on target, with a combination of color, novelty and key items that set Coldwater Creek apart in the marketplace," said Georgia Shonk-Simmons, president and chief merchandising officer. "Our ability to integrate the merchandise across all three selling channels drove increased traffic and further reinforced the brand."
Coldwater Creek operates 43 stores and plans to open another 23 this year.
