Web sales totaled $35.6 million of The Sportsman’s Guide’s $169.7 million in 2001 sales vs. $23.3 million of the company’s $154.9 million in 2000.
In the fourth quarter, the web site was responsible for 23% of all sales up from 18% in Q4 2000. Q4 total sales were $62.5 million ($14.4 million via the web) vs. $59 million ($10.6 million via the web) in Q4 2000.
The Sportsman`s Guide sells value-priced outdoor gear and general merchandise, with an emphasis on outdoor clothing, equipment and footwear, through sportsmansguide.com and bargainoutfitters.com as well as catalogs. The company closed its retail store in 2000.
