Virgin Megastores adopts e-receipts

Music retailer Virgin Megastores is deploying digital receipt technology by Crossvue. Digital receipts will enable Virgin Megastores to track promotions across channels and manage ongoing marketing campaigns.

Music retailer Virgin Megastores is deploying digital receipt technology provided by Crossvue, the companies announced today. Crossvue offers a service that will enable Virgin Megastores to track promotions across online and offline sales channels and to manage the success of ongoing marketing campaigns.

Virgin also will adopt a Crossvue service called eReceipts, which provides instant access to detailed transaction information via the Internet. Crossevue says eReceipts will reduce Virgin Megastores` costs associated with fraud, credit card charge-backs and disputes, while enabling sales representatives to provide better customer service.

"Crossvue`s Digital Receipt Services enable retailers not only to reduce back-office costs, but also obtain the customer insights to better tailor products and promotions to their customers` needs. As a result, Digital Receipt Services help retailers save operating expenses while at the same time optimizing promotional spending," said Aziz Valliani, CEO of Crossvue.
