Running second in overall ranking, ease of use, relationship services was Norsdsrom.com. Eddie Bauer, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue came in one-two-three in overall scoring and in the best of gift buying, time saving and first-time buying.
LLBean.com and JCPenney.com ranked second and third, respectively in customer confidence. Rei.com and Nordstrom took second and third, respectively in onsite resources, while Spiegel.com got third in relationship services.
Gomez applauded EddieBauer.com for its new tool that suggests outfits for men or women. Gomez also said the site stands out because shoppers can view clothing in all the colors available or on or off models. And while Gomez also like EddieBauer.com`s personal account area where shoppers can use multiple addresses, it said the retailer should beef up its search tool.
