PDG Software integrates Equifax PayNet Secure into shopping Cart

PDG Software Inc. has integrated Equifax PayNet Secure into its shoping cart software. PayNet Secure uses personal information to verify web users.

PDG Software Inc., a provider of Internet commerce solutions, has integrated the Equifax PayNet Secure identity verification system into its PDG Shopping Cart and is offering Equifax Secure`s eBusinessID Server Secure certificates. Equifax PayNet Secure allows merchants to validate their customers regardless of payment type, instantly authenticating web users. “By obtaining a more complete and reliable user profile, Equifax authentication provides a superior shield against tampering and identity theft,” the company says. “Each step in the authentication process protects user information privacy in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.”Unlike methods that rely solely on wallet information such as Social Security number, driver`s license number and address to identify online users, the Equifax authentication engine requests both financial and non-financial information known only to the user. The engine compares and analyzes multiple elements in the furnished information against consumer data from Equifax and other consumer and business information.

PDG Software also will be selling Equifax Secure`s eBusinessID(TM) Server Secure Certificates directly to its customers. Server Secure Certificates authenticate web sites and use 128-bit encryption to secure the transmission of confidential information between a web site and a web browser. When a customer accesses a web site with a Server Secure Certificate, the site sends a signal that triggers the customer`s web browser to send information securely and seamlessly over an SSL session. PDG Software Inc.’s core product, the PDG Shopping Cart, allows customers to create a customized Internet commerce web site. PDG Software, Inc. offers a complete suite of e-commerce products that includes PDG Shopping Cart, PDG Shopping Mall, PDG Distributor, PDG Auction, and PDG Commerce. Equifax provides services in information management, transaction processing, direct marketing, and customer relationship management businesses. It serves the financial services, retail, credit card, transportation, telecommunications/utilities, information technology and healthcare industries, as well as government.
