Egghead.com has implemented the Yopa Push Platform to support its sales efforts and help improve customer service and retention. In less than six months, Egghead.com has sold $1.25 million as a result of pushing requested information.
In its initial implementation of Yopa, Egghead.com informs customers when out-of-stock items are available. Monitoring the availability of Egghead`s 70,000 SuperStore products, Yopa manages all information requests, delivering in-stock notices to the customer`s choice of communication device -- including e-mail, pager, mobile or land phone. In the first five months of use, more than 80,000 users requested "product-in-stock" messages through e-mail, voice and pager; 17% of the customers receiving in stock notices made purchases as a direct result of the message, resulting in more than $1.25 million in incremental sales.
