Spiegel chooses MarketMAX for multi-channel merchandise planning

The Spiegel Group has selected MarketMAX Inc., a provider of multi-channel, collaborative merchandise planning and optimization solutions, to provide its Integrated Merchandise Planning Solution to all of Spiegel's retail companies. The Spiegel Group, with more than $3 billion in revenue, includes the multi-channel retail brands Eddie Bauer, Newport News and Spiegel. The system allows all three of the brands to better manage merchandise planning and inventory. MarketMAX's technology will help the company mine key market data to analyze performance and observe trends in order to create financial plans, assortment plans, space plans, store clusters and consumer clusters. This will allow Spiegel to deliver customized assortments for the stores, catalogs and the Internet.
