A new president for Mercantec

Mercantec Inc., a global provider of e-commerce products and services for small-to-medium sized businesses, has named Tim Noe CEO. Noe takes over as permanent CEO replacing acting CEO Dia Weil, who had earlier announced plans to move away from active involvement in the business. Noe played a key role in solidifying partnerships with leading service providers such as Verio and Earthlink and was instrumental in the recently announced partnerships with IBM and SGI. "I believe strong partnerships, revenue growth and an experienced management team position Mercantec very well for continued leadership and success" said Mr. Noe. " We made great progress in 2000, with revenues nearly four times higher than in 1999. We will continue to implement the changes to the business that began early last year. These changes are part of a focused strategic plan that will serve to strengthen our product and build on our core strength."
