You To The Max Power

YOUpowered, a provider of permission-based personalization solutions for online business and consumers and MaxManager, an online shopping organizer, say that they plan to cross-integrate technology aimed at expanding online shopping management with added privacy protection.

Under terms of the agreement, YOUpowered will integrate MaxManager's online shopping organizer into Orby privacy plus, YOUpowered's desktop software for protecting consumer privacy on the Internet. MaxManager will integrate YOUpowered's P3P compliant ebusiness component, Consumer Trust, on its Web site to let consumers and businesses build trusted relationships based on privacy preferences set by consumers.

MaxManager provides complete organization and recordkeeping for online shoppers through pre- and post-purchase services including automatic receipt capture, order tracking and coupon management. The combined product offerings will bring to consumers P3P compliance; Children's Online Privacy Protection Act-friendly software; form fillers and password wallets; automatic receipt capture and storage; and purchase history across all Internet retailers.

With its introduction of Orby last month, New York City-based YOUpowered says that it became the first company to unveil desktop software for consumers based on the Platform for Privacy Preference Project, or P3P, which allows Web sites to publish a machine-readable privacy framework that informs Internet users of the site's access to personal information while browsing.
