T-Shirts.com Inc. has closed $7 million in first-round funding, including an investment from Hollinger International Inc., says the Chicago-based designer and online retailer of printed, customizable and blank T-shirts. Hollinger says that it will provide support to T-Shirts.com through its network of partners, including newspapers, magazines and Internet ventures, says T-Shirts.com. Hollinger is a global publisher with newspapers in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Israel. It also owns 302 nondaily newspapers, as well as magazines and other publications and owns the canada.com Web portal and a variety of other specialized Web sites.
