Fashionmall.com Inc. has announced a deal with Internet portal AltaVista to be a premier vendor in their Shopping, Fashion and Apparel category. Under the terms of the deal, Fashionmall.com will be accessible throughout AltaVista Shopping by combining advertising and tenancy, which is set to begin before the Thanksgiving day launch of the holiday shopping season.
New York City-based Fashionmall.com Inc. focuses on fashion, apparel, footwear, beauty and related lifestyle products and accessories. It operates fashionmall.com, a vertical fashion portal, and outletmall.com, an off-price fashion site. Fashionmall.com. The sites combine online shopping malls with fashion content to provide a centralized site for manufacturers, retailers, magazines and catalogs to advertise, display and sell their products. Outletmall.com offers name brand designer merchandise at discounts of 25% to 75% off retail prices, the company says. Fashionmall.com Inc. also contracts for the distribution for its site, merchandise or content with major Internet portals including Excite, Yahoo, MSN, Amazon.com and AOL.
