November sales at Nordstrom.com were up 400% over November 1999, with a record 3 million visitors to the site for the month. Nordstrom said today it is trimming its catalog operation from four catalogs to two. "We had to address the fact that we were mailing our customers too many catalogs," said Dan Nordstrom, CEO of Nordstrom.com. "We believe that improved integration between the Internet and catalogs will result in a better selection for our customers, and less mail in their boxes." Nordstrom.com expects double digit growth in sales at its web site through 2001.
