Alibaba’s Tmall Global now features goods from 14,500 overseas brands, 80% of them selling in China for the first time.
MSNBCSports.com, Seattle, has launched an online sports fan store at msnbc.efanshop.com, the result of an alliance with eFANshop, an e-commerce portal for licensed sports merchandise and apparel. Dallas-based eFANshop will manage all aspects of the store, including site design, merchandising, order processing and fulfillment, and customer service, it says. The new shop, the first to be powered by eFANshop, features more than 10,000 officially licensed products, including caps, jerseys and t-shirts from leading properties such as the NBA, NCAA, NFL, NHL, NASCAR and Major League Baseball.
To help ensure quality at eFANshop-powered sites, the company has partnered with a number of companies, including Microsoft, for software, services and Internet technologies; FedEx, for transportation, logistics, e-commerce and supply chain management services; Fujitsu/ICL, for IT services; Data Return, for managed hosting services; PeopleSupport, for unified Internet customer care services; and Sameday.com, for high-speed e-commerce order fulfillment and delivery.
