Beth Robertson and Robert Vamosi Add Vast Experience In Payment Systems and Security
San Francisco, CA, October 20, 2009 - Javelin Strategy & Research (www.javelinstrategy.com) today announced the company has hired two financial services industry veterans: Beth Robertson as Director of Payments Research, and Robert Vamosi as Research Analyst for Risk, Fraud, and Security.

With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, Robertson, who is also a Certified Cash Manager, has expertise in payment networks and services—including ACH, card, check, and alternative payment systems. She also has extensive expertise in electronic bill and invoice presentment and payment services; emerging Internet/mobile payment and funds-transfer services; remittance transfer; and walk-in payment services. Prior to working for Javelin, Robertson`s professional experience includes senior financial services positions at Camino Consulting, TowerGroup, Exxon, and Maryland National Bank. She serves as the chair of NACHA’s Council for Electronic Billing and Payment and has delivered numerous executive presentations at major financial services industry conferences. Robertson has been quoted by many news services and journals, including The Wall Street Journal, CBS Marketwatch, National Public Radio, American Banker, CNN.com, and Banking Strategies magazine.
Vamosi brings nine years of reporting experience to Javelin. His prior professional experience includes CNET/CBSNews.com where he hosted a popular security podcast, edited a weekly security newsletter, and wrote weekly a security column that earned him a Maggie Award for Best Regular Online Column from the Western Publishing Association. Vamosi has moderated a panel on privacy and security at the Harvard School of Business, and he co-presented at RSA on teenage hackers and social networking. He has also been quoted by the New York Times and the BBC, and he has been interviewed by CNN, ABC, NBC, and MSNBC. Vamosi continues to write security articles for PCWorld, ThreatPost and Windows Secrets and is currently writing a book for Basic Books on the security of everyday things.
