Montreal, Canada - August 19, 2009 - iCongo, Inc., a leading provider of e-commerce and cross-channel systems, today announced outdoor retail brand La Cordée has chosen iCongo’s powerful E-Commerce Storefront platform to launch its first-ever online shopping option. Among its many benefits, iCongo’s E-Commerce Storefront will provide La Cordée with a wealth of merchandising, navigation/design and promotional options to maximize online sales and provide customers with the best possible shopping experience.
La Cordée’s new online retail presence will service the needs of outdoor enthusiasts of all interest levels, beginner to expert. La Cordée intends to eventually expand its iCongo e-business lineup to include iCongo’s Cross-Channel Retail platform, which will allow La Cordée to offer in-store pickup or home delivery for those items not available at a specific store location, but where the item is available at other locations within the chain.
La Cordée, which has been online since 2001 but currently does not offer transactional capabilites, plans on rolling out the first phase of the new online storefront this fall.

With the new cross-channel capabilities, La Cordée will create an “endless aisle” strategy, allowing store locations to order out-of-stock products from another channel’s merchandise. Stock will be shipped to the customer’s shipping address or picked up in the store.
