Warp 9 Provides Complex On-Demand Image Creation for Thomas Mangelsen`s Images of Nature Galleries

No more physical framing, matting, lighting, and studio time; Staff produces complex virtual images for e-commerce site in minutes

June 17, 2009 -- Santa Barbara, CA --
Warp 9, Inc. (OTCBB: WNYN), the premier provider of robust e-commerce platforms and services, today announces the addition of a new dynamic imaging feature for its Warp 9 Internet Commerce System (ICS) platform.

In late November of 2008, Mangelsen signed a 3 year extension to use Warp 9`s ICS e-commerce platform for Thomas Mangelsen`s Images of Nature website. During that process, some of Mangelsen`s future goals for the next year were discussed. Among them was an initiative to display more framed and matted finished images to consumers, which they had just begun implementing. In describing the process, it was obvious that it was very time consuming and labor intensive. They selected an image, physically framed and matted it, took it to a studio to light and shoot the framed image, selected the digital image, and then performed color correction prior to creating images to use on their website. Considering the website sells 1,000 images and has 60 mat colors and 125 frame choices resulting in 7,500,000 potential combinations.

After understanding the process, Warp 9 constructed a tool to eliminate the labor intensive manual process and creates a virtual double matted, framed image – complete with beveled edges and a v-groove. It then automatically web optimizes the images for use on the website and performs watermarking.
