GSI Commerce and Levi Strauss & Co. Extend E-Commerce Partnership with Seven-Year Contract
Newly Redesigned Web Store Improves Online Experience for Consumers
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Nov. 13, 2008 – GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC), a leading provider of e-commerce and multichannel solutions, today announced an extension of its e-commerce agreement with Levis Strauss & Co. through 2015. GSI will continue to provide the Levi’s® brand online store (www.levi.com) with a full-service, integrated solution, including e-commerce technology, order management, customer care and fulfillment. Levi’s has partnered with GSI since 2005.
“Levi’s is one of the most well-known brands in the apparel industry,” said Scott Hardy, executive vice president of business management for GSI. “We are excited about our continued partnership with the Levi’s brand and how the success of the online store will contribute to their future growth.”
The Levi’s Web site was recently redesigned to make users’ online browsing, shopping and buying experience simpler and more efficient. gsi interactiveSM, the digital marketing and design agency of GSI, added new product imagery, enhanced on-site search capabilities, and implemented a parametric search and filtering feature that allows online shoppers to find a specific Levis style and fit of jeans quickly. The new features and enhancements were added and designed based on a customer usability study conducted by gsi interactive in the agency’s state-of-the-art usability lab.
The Dockers® brand online store (www.us.dockers.com) is also powered by GSI.
