Total Beauty Media, Inc. Adds New Talent to its Management Team
Online Beauty Content Company Welcomes Yahoo! Senior Executive
and Former Hachette Sales Director
Los Angeles, CA, October 2008 –Total Beauty Media, Inc. has added Judy Hsieh to its management team as Vice President of Online Business Development and Ann Marie MacDougall as Director of Sales. Ms. Hsieh comes to Total Beauty Media from Yahoo!, where she held senior positions in business development, product management and strategy. Ann Marie MacDougall most recently held the position of director of business development for RealAge, Inc., having recently left Hachette Filipacchi Media US, where she worked as director of sales.
A leading source of online beauty content for women, Total Beauty Media owns and operates TotalBeauty.com, which features the Internet’s largest catalog of beauty products. In their new roles, Hsieh will be responsible for growing TotalBeauty.com’s audience and revenues through strategic partnerships and acquisitions, and MacDougall will be in charge of all online advertising sales for the Web site.

Prior to her position at Yahoo!, Judy Hsieh was vice president of business development at BusinessWeek Digital where she successfully launched premium products targeting the MBA community and negotiated key distribution, ecommerce and content licensing deals. Before becoming involved with digital media full-time, Hsieh spent several years at PricewaterhouseCoopers evaluating M&A deals for strategic and financial buyers. She received her MBA from Columbia Business School.
Ann Marie MacDougall comes to Total Beauty Media from RealAge, Inc. where she served as director of business development and was responsible for national advertising sales and development. Prior to her position at RealAge,
MacDougall was the director of sales for the women’s group online for Hachette Filipacchi Media US, a subsidiary of Hachette Filipacchi Médias, the world’s largest magazine publisher. In this role, MacDougall was responsible for the national advertising sales and brand development of the company’s three women’s online magazine sites: ELLE.com, ELLEgirl.com and Women’sDay.com. Prior to Hachette, MacDougall held positions at Warner Bros. Online, Rodale, Inc. and Men’s Health Magazine.
Judy Hsieh and Ann Marie MacDougall join an already strong management team. Prior to launching Total Beauty Media, co-founder and CEO Emrah Kovacoglu spent more than a decade at Procter & Gamble working on beauty brands including CoverGirl and Max Factor. Beth Mayall, editor-in-chief, spent 15 years creating editorial content for numerous magazines such as Marie Claire, Sassy, Teen, CosmoGirl! and Seventeen before entering the online space as senior vice president of all content at ChannelOne.com. Kristen Nelson, vice president of business development, brands and social media, spent 18 years working for some of the top beauty brands in the world, including The Body Shop, Aveda and Estee Lauder. Jordan Posell, CFO, has more than 15 years of start-up experience including eToys, which he helped take public, LivePlanet and GameFly. Phil Del Rivo, executive vice president of marketing and media services, previously served as president and CEO of Savings.com. Del Rivo has extensive experience with both start-ups and online marketing and communications, and was a founding member of Tribal DDB Worldwide’s Los Angeles office. Lastly, Laura Laytham, vice president of product development, is a seasoned internet developer, having previously served as the director of technology for Seventeen magazine, gURL.com and Teen Magazine.
