More than 650 attendees of the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition participated in the Win-the-Wheels booth tour, setting a new record for participation.
Participants received a contest entry for visiting a selection of 42 exhibitors in the IRCE exhibit hall, which this year included over 600 companies.
Kayme Crowell of Adrenaline365 won the grand prize 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250. Crowell works in product development at Adrenaline365, a Chicago-based company offering “gifts that make you go “WooHoo.” Among the gifts offered on the site are skydiving packages, helicopter tours and hot air ballooning.
Crowell had already returned to her office when the prize was announced. After several e-mails, text messages and missed calls, Crowell was told she had been the grand prize winner by Jack Love, chairman of Vertical Web Media, the publisher of Internet Retailer magazine. This was Crowell's first time attending IRCE.
"I thought the show was informative and helpful for providing strategies to help increase our company’s revenue," she says. "I was able to meet with various companies regarding enhancing our customer service support and we are currently weighing our options to determine how to proceed."
Crowell was one of 1,000 attendees who visited the 42 exhibitors involved in the giveaway. To enter, an attendee needed to visit 21 exhibitors higlighted on one of the eligible entry cards. For the first time this year, there were three additional prizes: $1,000 cash, $500 cash and an iPad Mini.
“We’re thrilled that this year we hit a record of more than 650 attendees who participated in the Win the Wheels tour,” Love says.
