Four retailers tie atop July availability tests

HPShopping and Williams-Sonoma tied atop Internet Explorer availability tests.

Computer retail site HPShopping.com and Williams-Sonoma.com tied with the best availability score for Internet Explorer testing among large retailers tested in July, says Compuware.  The retailers posted 99.98% availability in Internet Explorer tests. Amway.com and Sears.com led Firefox availability tests tied at 99.98%.

Three retailers (Amazon.com, Amway.com and HSN.com) tied for third place in Internet Explorer testing with an availability rating of 99.97%. OfficeDepot.com and Sears.com tied in sixth place at 99.95%.

With a 99.97% availability score for July, Amazon.com and LLBean.com tied in third place in Firefox testing, following Amway and Sears. Overstock.com and QVC.com tied for fifth at 99.95% availability.

The average Internet Explorer availability score among the 23 retailers measured in July was 99.67%. The same group of retailers produced an average Firefox score of 99.73%.

Availability is determined by the percentage of tests in which the retailer’s web site loads correctly.
