Pet360 Inc., which operates several pet-related e-commerce and informational sites, has hired former GSI Commerce executive Jeffry Nimeroff as its chief information officer.

He will oversee the technology behind the company’s web properties. Those include PetFoodDirect.com, which sells food and supplies, and NationalPetPharmacy.com, which sells medicines, vitamins and health products.

Nimeroff previously worked as GSI’s head of technology solutions, business development, where he oversaw the technical aspects of company sales. He had held that job since 2007, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to GSI, he was president and chief scientist at JSN Consulting Inc. where he consulted on digital strategy, technical architecture and enterprise implementation for several e-commerce and multimedia companies.

"Jeffry's expertise in building highly scalable platforms in the digital space will enable us to produce the best experience possible for pet owners," says Brock Weatherup, Pet360 CEO.

At the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition, Timothy Peterson, chief marketing officer and cofounder of LocFree.com, will speak in a session entitled “Attracting and retaining talent in a competitive marketplace.”
