M-commerce pioneer MobiCart launches support for Android and New iPad

In a few steps, retailers can transform their e-commerce store into an m-commerce app.

April 20, 2012 – Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK – M-commerce app builder Mobicart www.mobi-cart.com has launched two additional platforms, making it readily available to the mass marketplace.

Following on from the launch of the successful iPhone m-commerce app builder at DEMO Fall in California’s Silicon Valley, MobiCart is now available on Android phones and iPad tablets.

MobiCart unveils its latest Google Android release that offers the same sleek user interface and features as the iPhone app, which work together and enable retailers to take full control of their m-commerce stores.

An up-dated version of MobiCart’s iPad app builder, to be used with the New iPad, is also now available to retailers and developers. Following on from the release of the iPad version in November, the platform has been uniquely designed to replicate a magazine with the ability to turn pages and flick through your product catalog.

The up-dated version features improved graphics, higher speed performance and retina display to enhance the user experience through sharper text and richer colours.

Wladimir Baranoff-Rossine, MobiCart director, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of the Android and New iPad platforms after months of hard work from our team.

“This now means MobiCart’s app builder can be used on the majority of mobile phones and is great news for retailers as it means their products can reach a bigger market by being available to a wider audience.”

Since its prestigious launch in 2010, MobiCart has been providing an affordable and simple solution for mobile shopping by offering retailers a way of creating customized m-commerce apps.

Using MobiCart’s powerful API, in a few simple steps retailers can transform their e-commerce store into an m-commerce app.

This year, the company secured an additional $150,000 investment from Northstar Venture to fund future development and is currently closing another round of funding.

Wladimir said: “It’s a very exciting time for MobiCart as the whole mobile experience really is exploding globally at a rapid pace. We have lots of things planned for the near future that will further enhance our m-commerce offering.
