AudienceScience Appoints Douglas Smith as Senior Account Executive

AudienceScience, a targeting technology company driving digital marketing success, announced today its newest addition to the sales team by hiring Douglas Smith as senior account executive.

New York, NY—June 3, 2010—AudienceScience, a targeting technology company driving digital marketing success, announced today its newest addition to the sales team by hiring Douglas Smith as senior account executive. In his new role, Smith will be responsible for providing the highest quality service to the growing roster of AudienceScience advertiser and agency clients in Oregon, Nevada and with a special focus on its San Francisco market.

Smith has a long-standing career in the online space with over ten years of experience under his belt. Most recently, he was regional sales manager at Kontera, where he evangelized in-text advertising in the Bay Area and Northwest region. Previously a senior account executive at Yahoo!, Smith was responsible for the sales of display, ad network, search, sponsorship and content integration for the Travel vertical. In this position, he was provided the opportunity to forge relationships with many of the company’s Travel clients and agencies such as Expedia, Hotwire and iCrossing for Travelocity to name a few. Prior to Yahoo!, Smith was considered an integral part of the Ask.com sales team for nearly five years. First hired on as a senior account executive with a focus on the Bay Area and Northwest region, he was soon promoted to the role of director of Western regional sales.
