Staples’ new web site caters to small and medium businesses

Staples Advantage, the business-to-business division of office supplies retailer Staples, has launched a new web site to meet its customers` demands for supplier consolidation and reduced procurement costs.

Staples Advantage, the business-to-business division of office supplies retailer Staples Inc., has launched StaplesAdvantage.com to address what it says are its customers` growing demands for supplier consolidation and reduced procurement costs.

With the new web site, shoppers from small businesses up to large corporations can access Staples Advantage`s products and services, including five newly integrated B2B service offerings: interior design and furniture; technology, such as desktop and network support; facility services, including janitorial services and products; print services; and promotional products, including more than 700,000 customizable branding products, and design and marketing services.

“Businesses today are eager to create efficiencies in procurement given reduced human and capital resources,” says Jay Baitler, executive vice president of Staples Advantage. “Our new StaplesAdvantage.com web site helps our current and potential new customers understand how we can deliver much more than office supplies-to support their supplier consolidation goals and find new opportunities for savings.”

Heather Deschenes, director of customer acquisition for Staples, is speaking at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition, June 8-11 in Chicago, in a session titled A dive into keyword profitability.

Staples, No. 2 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, says Staples Advantage sales topped $6 billion last year and serves more than 65 of the Fortune 100 companies, as well as academic and health care institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and state and federal government agencies.
