IRCE welcomes new retail speakers to the agenda

Internet Retailer is pleased to welcome some late addition speakers to the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition June 8-11 at McCormick Place West in Chicago.

Internet Retailer is pleased to welcome some late addition speakers to the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition June 8-11 at McCormick Place West in Chicago.

Joining the roster of 175 speakers in 91 sessions, are:

Deepika Pandey,vice president of online strategy and customer experience, Walgreens. She will speak on June 10, 1:30-2:00 p.m. on The cross-channel imperative: A Walgreens case study. The session will present a case study on Walgreens` cross-channel efforts, including a discussion of the core elements that drive the company’s multichannel approach throughout its 7,000 stores and some of Walgreens` newest initiatives.

Bill Aicher, director of web and marketing, Musicnotes Inc., will speak June 10, 2:45-3:15 on Musicnotes’ Twitter initiative. He will discuss specifically how the online retailer of digital sheet music, No. 500 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, uses Twitter, how its approach to Twitter has changed as Twitter has evolved, and what the company has gotten out of its efforts.

Robert Gilbreath, director of e-commerce marketing and analytics, Calendars.com/Calendar Holdings, will speak June 10, 4:30-5:00 p.m. on Managing a re-platforming: Strategy, people, technology. This session will deal specifically with managing the integration of a new e-commerce platform with other systems, such as order management, warehouse and customer data, while creating a stellar customer experience and providing a return on investment.

“We recruit speakers from August to November, and with 175 speakers circumstances arise in which some speakers must unavoidably change their plans to participate,” says Kurt Peters, editor in chief of Internet Retailer and head of IRCE agenda development. “We appreciate the effort that all speakers make to deliver the most timely and action-oriented information to our attendees and are grateful to those who can fill in when other speakers’ plans change.”
