Multichannel gift retailer Brookstone Inc. has named Ronald D. Boire president and CEO. Boire joins Brookstone from Toys ‘R’ Us, where he was president, North America, and at one time head of ToysRUs.com. Boire will also join the Brookstone board.

Multichannel gift retailer Brookstone Inc. has named Ronald D. Boire president and CEO. Boire joins Brookstone from Toys ‘R’ Us, where he was president, North America, and at one time head of ToysRUs.com. Boire will also join the Brookstone board of directors.
Philip Roizin, who was Brookstone’s interim president and CEO since February, will resume his responsibilities as executive vice president, finance and administration, and chief financial officer, a position he previously held since 1996.

Boire held several positions while at Toys ‘R’ Us, including president, ‘R’ Us Brands, and president, Toys ‘R’ Us, North America, ToysRUs.com and Toys ‘R’ Us Canada.
Before joining the toy retailer Boire was executive vice president and global general merchandise manager at electronics retailer Best Buy. Boire also worked for Sony Electronics Inc. for 17 years as president, Personal Mobile Products Company, president, Consumer Sales Company, and as a member of the Sony Electronics executive committee.
