Unica 8 features new cross-product interface, role-based dashboards, and deep integration to enable interactive marketing
Waltham, MA – August 17, 2009 - Unica Corporation (Nasdaq: UNCA), the recognized leader in marketing software solutions, today introduced Unica 8, the latest release of its Enterprise Marketing suite. Unica 8 includes significant enhancements and capabilities aimed at enabling interactive marketing and lowering total cost of ownership (TCO) for marketers. Unica defines Interactive Marketing as the discipline of engaging each customer and prospect in a cross-channel dialogue that builds upon their past and current behavior.
A key highlight of Unica 8 is the new cross-product user interface and role-based dashboards. The new interface increases user productivity with enhanced product navigation and a seamless user experience across all modules that comprise the Enterprise marketing suite. The added visibility enabled by the configurable dashboard helps application users make better decisions and work more effectively across all execution channels, providing marketing executives with comprehensive insight into marketing activities and performance.
“Marketers are eager for technology that improves and streamlines processes so that they can execute on opportunities and make better, faster decisions; this is what makes Unica 8 incredibly appealing,” said Matt Smith, vice president, Marketing Services, Best Buy. “The new interface and dashboards will no doubt significantly improve marketers’ overall user experiences.”
Unica 8 also features significant cross-product integration enhancements in several areas including:
The foundation of the Unica 8 Suite is the Unica Marketing Platform. This platform centralizes key functionality common across Unica’s Enterprise product line for improved ease of installation, integration, configuration, and ongoing enhancements. The shared services provided by the Unica Marketing Platform lower administration and integration costs and ensure quicker time to market.
“Marketing is rapidly moving into a new era, requiring the next generation of marketing technology that facilitates marketing integration and increases marketing effectiveness while reducing costs and the need for IT intervention to get the marketing job done,” said Elana Anderson, vice president of product marketing and strategy. “With Unica 8, marketers can more quickly and easily enable interactive campaigns and offer lifecycle management-from conception to creation to execution.”
The new UI and new product line are components of Unica’s recently launched brand, MARKETING SUCCESS STARTS WITH U™. The brand, which marks the next generation of Unica, is highlighted in new customer-facing corporate and global websites, featuring simplified and more descriptive product and solution names.
