E-commerce technology provider CoreSense Inc. has looked to its own ranks to fill the post of CEO. Chris Martin, who has been the company’s vice president of marketing since 2007, has been named CEO, succeeding founder Jason Jacobs.
Martin joined CoreSense with about 25 years of experience as a technology industry veteran with experience in operations, management and marketing. Previously, he was vice president of marketing at several Silicon Valley startups including RealChip Communications. Earlier in his career, he was director of marketing at Empowerment Networks, a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol technology for enterprise and telecommunications customers.
In his new position, Martin will be responsible for maintaining relationships with customers, completing the launch of the company’s point-of-sale and retail applications, and positioning CoreSense for sustained growth.
“The company has a strong product and solid customer base and the opportunity to significantly grow in existing and new markets,” Martin says. “It’s the kind of team I look forward to leading: dedicated, innovative and customer-focused.”
