ORTEC Names Don Addington Executive Vice President

ORTEC, a leading provider of supply chain optimization software and consulting solutions, announced today that software industry veteran Don Addington has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Business Development for North and South America. Addington will be responsible for sales, marketing and business development in the region.

Don Addington has over 30 years of domestic and international executive management experience in the B2B technology sector. He started his career managing customer support operations for hardware leaders Control Data and Amdahl. Then as COO of CASE tool vendor KnowledgeWare and CEO of integration infrastructure vendor Seagull Software, he led both global software companies from start-up to market leadership and IPO. In 2007 he established The Addington Group to provide sales strategy and sales executing consulting services to technology companies. ORTEC was one of the company"s clients, which led to Addington joining the business as EVP. Addington is on the Board of Directors of Covast and on the Board of Directors of the Technology Association of GA, and participates in the Atlanta CEO High Tech Council and the Atlanta Technology Executives Roundtable.
