Commenting on opening the US office Webgains Managing Director, Robert Glasgow said, “The global affiliate marketing landscape is undergoing enormous changes, such as Google’s re-launch of their affiliate network. The industry is well placed to take full advantage of the current economic downturn, leading more advertisers to take advantage of this risk-free form of marketing. Opening in the world’s largest affiliate market is a logical development of our well-planned expansion, and crowns our efforts to bring a single International platform to our valued advertisers and loyal affiliates. Our winning formula of combining fanatical support with innovative and pragmatic technology will allow us to grow steadily in this competitive market.”
Ryan Gilbert, Webgains US Director commented, "UK and European based digital companies launching offices in the US are on the increase for various reasons. There is growing demand from advertisers to run campaigns internationally, US brands need reliable and native speaking partners here and in Europe, and the size and language affinity of the US market make it very attractive to advertisers. For example, just recently Eurostar & British Airways launched their affiliate programmes in the USA.”
Launched in 2004 and bought by adpepper media International N.V in 2006, Webgains has an impressive number of clients across UK and Europe, including Quelle.de, Vistaprint, Yves Rocher, Viking Direct, Tesco Mobiles, Sainsbury’s, Powerplaydirect and Cadbury’s. In the last two years the company has opened offices in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Spain, establishing Webgains as the fastest growing affiliate network globally.
