Media processing provider Equilibrium has appointed Joe Bosurgi to managing director of international business. Bosurgi will be responsible for developing new business in Japan and Korea. Equilibrium recently partnered with Celartem to distribute its MediaRich Media Server product line in the two countries. Equilibrium’s MediaRich Media Server processes images, sounds and videos so that they can be delivered to web sites and wireless devices. After his initial focus on Asia, Bosurgi also will work to expand the company’s business in Europe, Equilibrium says.
Bosurgi is a 20-year sales and business development veteran. The bulk of his experience is in selling and developing international software systems and services, licensing, distribution and negotiations. Most recently Bosurgi was general manager of the Asia-Pacific Region for Callidus Software. He also has worked for computer hardware maker Sun Microsystems, software company Novell and digital entertainment technology company Gracenote.
“We’re excited that quality professionals like Mr. Bosurgi have decided to join our growing team,” says Sean Barger, CEO of Equilibrium. “Some of the world’s largest multinational corporations are currently taking advantage of our ability to dynamically merge and overlay multiple images, video and text to deliver just-in-time, multilingual, internal and external communications to their customers, and we look to expand that number in the coming months.”
