Web shoppers in March could access a top 50 retail site with a dial-up connection an average of 86.83% of the time, says Gomez Inc.

Web site availability among big web retailers remained consistent in March. Web shoppers could access a top 50 retail site with a high broadband connection an average of 99.24% of the time. That time compares with an average of 98.83% for a low broadband connection and 86.83% for dial-up, says Gomez Inc.
The retailers with the best dial-up success rate in March included Scholastic.com at 98.35% and ColdwaterCreek.com at 97.84%.
The web merchant providing the best low broadband availability was Saks.com at 99.65%, while ColdwaterCreek.com had the best high broadband availability at 99.71%.
