Motorcycle-Superstore Inc.’s in-house web site redesign boosted holiday season conversion rates to 2.87% from 2.53% in 2006, a 13.4% increase, says Erick L. Barney, vice president of marketing.
The homegrown site redesign -- completed in August -- also resulted in a significant increase in organic traffic and improved merchandising, Barney says.
Along with the site redesign, Motorcycle-Superstore.com moved from a 21,000 square foot distribution center to a 72,000 square foot facility with new order management processing software, Barney says. And it launched direct mail catalogs for the spring and holiday seasons, he adds.
