New SVP leads direct-to-consumer strategy at Chico`s

Chico’s has appointed Elaine L. Boltz as senior vice president of strategy and consumer research. Boltz will be responsible for leading Chico’s direct-to-consumer efforts, which includes the online channel.

Chico`s FAS Inc. has appointed a new executive in charge of its e-commerce and direct marketing strategy.

The retailer, No. 228 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, has appointed Elaine L. Boltz as senior vice president -- strategy and consumer research. Boltz will be responsible for leading Chico’s direct-to-consumer efforts, which includes the online channel, and providing the company with key strategies on improving consumer insight and research. Boltz will report to chairman and CEO Scott A. Edmonds.

Boltz was previously employed by Ann Taylor Corp. where she served in numerous executive capacities, most recently as executive vice president, corporate strategy and chief marketing officer.
