Adam Joffe has joined I4 Commerce as CIO from Sony Online Entertainment. Also hired to executive positions recently are Chris Williams, vice president of consumer marketing, and Carolyn Groobey, head of consumer strategy.

Adam Joffe has joined I4 Commerce, provider of the Bill Me Later online payment option and other financing products, as CIO from Sony Online Entertainment. Also hired to executive positions recently are Chris Williams, vice president of consumer marketing, and Carolyn Groobey, head of consumer strategy.
Joffe will be responsible for development of I4 Commerce’s technology strategy and implementation and for expanding the IT organization to support rapid growth. Joffe was senior vice president of IT and CTO at Sony Online Entertainment, where he led all new technology research and development. He was also responsible for the development and operation of Sony’s technical infrastructure used to service and distribute Sony’s online games around the world.
Williams will focus on building brand awareness and driving revenue growth through consumer adoption. Prior to I4 Commerce, Williams was a partner at a startup venture capital firm which invested in Internet retailers, and he also provided consulting services to Internet retailer Home Décor Products, No. 109 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Previously, Williams was vice president of marketing strategy at ING Direct, helping grow the bank from startup to $45 billion in assets.
Groobey will be responsible for developing business strategies, products and marketing capabilities to drive revenue growth from I4 Commerce’s consumer network. Prior to joining I4 Commerce, Groobey was senior vice president of corporate strategy at Fannie Mae, where she led strategic planning and new business initiatives. Previously, she was a partner at McKinsey & Co.,
