Former Fossil exec joins MarketNet as director of e-commerce

MarketNet Inc., a web design and marketing firm, has named former Fossil Inc. executive Matthew Brown as senior director of e-commerce.

MarketNet Inc., a web design and marketing firm, has named former Fossil Inc. executive Matthew Brown as senior director of e-commerce.

Brown will be responsible for developing multiple practice areas at MarketNet, including retail and wholesale e-commerce, e-mail and online portal marketing, customer retention, affiliate programs, blogging and social computing, MarketNet says.

In addition to the Fossil brand, Brown has worked in the past on brands including Armani, Diesel, Michele and Callaway Golf. He also worked on multi-branded b2b e-commerce projects and was responsible for partnerships with operations including Amazon.com, MSN, AOL and Yahoo.

Brown has also served in management positions at National Knowledge Networks and ThePlanet.com.
