Databazaar.com gives blogging a whirl

Databazaar.com is joining the swelling ranks of web retailers giving blogging a try. The blog features content such as news and “how to” articles for both corporate and home users of printer products and cartridges.

Databazaar.com is joining the swelling ranks of web retailers giving blogging a try.

The online retailer of office supplies recently launched a blog for visitors and shoppers to exchange news and views on printers and printer ink.

The blog features useful and creative content such as news and “how to” articles for both corporate and home users of printer products and consumables such as ink. In addition to regular contributions by in-house experts, the Databazaar blog also eventually will include an interactive forum. Databazaar will work directly with major printer manufacturers such as Hewlett-Packard and others in providing updated product information and reviews.

“Most e-businesses today fail in communicating directly with their customers, but we have decided to take a different approach with our blog,” says Databazaar founder and CEO Oney Seal. “It will offer a more direct line of communication.”

Databazaar, No. 203 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, posted web sales of $34 million in 2006, an increase of 9.9% over revenue of $31 million in 2005.
