Leatherup.com expects sales to grow 100%+ this year

2006 sales at online leather store Leatherup.com will more than double from 2005, reaching $17.5 million, the company reports. Leatherup.com says it has turned to offline advertising as the cost of online advertising has risen.

2006 sales at online leather store Leatherup.com will more than double from 2005, reaching $17.5 million, the company reports.

Leatherup.com says it has turned to offline advertising as the cost of online advertising has risen. It will advertise in more than 15 magazines this year. It also is advertising on radio. “Management believes it`s time to start moving parts of our budget offline as online pay per click prices are expect to increase 15-20% per year,” the company says.

To accommodate further growth, Leatherup.com, No. 401 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, is planning a move into a state-of-the-art, 60,000-square-foot warehouse in 2007.
