Online eyewear retailer Frames Direct has appointed consultant Richard V. Burckhardt to lead its Austin-based marketing team.

Online eyewear retailer Frames Direct has appointed consultant Richard V. Burckhardt to lead its Austin-based marketing team. Burckhardt has worked for Frames Direct remotely as a contract consultant for the past year.
In his new role, Burckhardt will work with the Frames Direct web development team to ensure online content is not only customer-friendly but search engine-friendly. He also will take over press relations and pay-per-click marketing efforts.
Burckhardt previously was web marketing manager at the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Convention and Visitors Authority. Prior to that he served as senior web designer and webmaster at Desert Publications Inc.
