EMAILLABS NAMES NEW DIRECTORS OF CONSULTING AND MARKETING, APPOINTS MANAGER OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Leading Email Marketing Company Expands Management Team With Executives Focused on Customer Success, Acquisition and Satisfaction

MENLO PARK, Calif. (July 24, 2006) – EmailLabs (www.emaillabs.com), the leader in high-performance email marketing solutions and a subsidiary of J.L. Halsey Corporation (OTCBB:JLHY), today announced that the company has appointed Stefan Pollard as director of consulting services and Akila Krishnamurthi as manager of customer support. Company veteran Lena Waters has been promoted to director of marketing.

Pollard, EmailLabs’ new director of consulting services, joins the company from Habeas, an email trust authority, where he helped clients improve their email programs and overcome delivery challenges. Prior to that position, he built and executed email marketing campaigns at E-LOAN and Cybergold.com. Pollard will leverage his seven years of email marketing experience to work with EmailLabs` clients in evaluating their current email marketing programs, training clients on industry best practices and developing strategies to help clients increase return on investment. He is a graduate of California State University, Hayward, with an MBA in computer information systems and a bachelor’s in marketing.

Lena Waters, director of marketing, moves up from marketing manager at the company. Waters is newly responsible for all messaging and advertising, and for driving demand and lead-generation programs.

In her previous post at EmailLabs, she established new print, online, search and email advertising programs across several vertical markets, and implemented a reporting matrix that measures and improves the effectiveness of EmailLabs’ lead-generation and branding programs. As a direct result of her efforts, sales leads in 2005 increased more than 150 percent over 2004. Waters has nine years of experience in business-to-business marketing and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Northern British Columbia in Canada.

As manager of customer support, Krishnamurthi joins EmailLabs from Oracle and Siebel, where she managed support teams and oversaw projects that increased customer satisfaction. She has seven years of experience in customer support and twice received Siebel Support’s Reach Out for Customer Satisfaction award. Krishnamurthi has a master’s degree in computer applications from Bharathiar University in India.
