BILLERICA, MA – August 8, 2005 – Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE:HHS), a worldwide, direct and targeted marketing company, has promoted David Siesel to the new position of chief technology officer, data-based marketing solutions. Previously Siesel was senior vice president, product and systems development, database, in the Billerica offices of Harte-Hanks, a position he held since first joining Harte-Hanks in 2002.
"David`s leadership in developing technical direction and standards in the data-based marketing solutions we deliver to clients has enhanced our cohesion, efficiency and effectiveness," said Kathy Calta, corporate officer and senior vice president, who made the announcement.
In his new role, Siesel will partner in facilitating technical strategies to support direct and data-based marketing programs of clients, encompassing database development, data management, data enhancement, analytics and campaign planning. In addition, he will support corporate standards and technology strategy – the latter working closely with the company`s chief information officer for direct marketing.
"David is a key player in company-wide initiatives, working on an internal steering committee for customer data management, as well as numerous technology and strategic partner related projects," said Dave LaGreca, chief information officer, direct marketing, Harte-Hanks. "As we move forward with new technology standards and best practices, David has helped to define policy and to articulate action in many areas of our company."
Prior to Harte-Hanks, Siesel served as a principal and general manager for Dialogos (Boston, MA), and a strategic consultant for Monitor Company (Cambridge, MA), as well as previous assignments at Stream International, American Student Assistance Corporation, Banyan Systems, Wang Laboratories and Convergent Technologies. He was graduated from California State University in Hayward.
A resident of Warwick, RI, Siesel is based in Billerica, MA, where Harte-Hanks designs and develops many of its clients` marketing databases, working with many areas of the Texas-based company. Harte-Hanks also has a Massachusetts digital print and fulfillment facility in East Bridgewater.
