NEW YORK – June 28, 2005 - Bigfoot Interactive, the leading provider of strategic, ROI-focused email communications solutions and marketing automation technologies, today announced it has forged an agreement with Amazon Services, Inc. to offer its DREAMSM email technology platform, marketing automation tools and professional services to Amazon Services enterprise retail partners. Amazon Services, Inc. is a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. that offers the technical platform, operational capabilities and online retailing expertise of Amazon.com to enterprise retailers seeking a world-class, cost-effective e-commerce offering for their customers.
Under the terms of the agreement, Amazon Services will make Bigfoot Interactive’s DREAMSM email marketing platform of messaging and delivery optimization services, acquisition services, and unique retail marketing automation tool kit part of the comprehensive outsourced e-commerce solution it develops for enterprise retail clients.
Comprised of a series of easy-to-use technology utilities and modules, Bigfoot Interactive’s retail marketing automation tool kit is designed to integrate and automate a wide range of communication and commerce dialogs based on a customer’s profile, preferences or purchase behavior. Turnkey modules within the tool kit include welcome messages, order and shipping confirmations, dynamic up-sell/cross-sell triggers, product alerts, shopping cart abandonment triggers and more. This comprehensive offering allows companies to develop, update and deploy timely, relevant email communications and promotions that build customer loyalty, drive incremental sales and maximize ROI.
”We provide our enterprise retail clients with tailored e-commerce solutions that meet the unique goals of their online businesses,” said Amazon Services Vice President Cayce Roy. “The opportunity to use Bigfoot Interactive’s email marketing products and services adds another compelling option for Amazon Services in developing these solutions for our clients.”
A post-holiday shop.org study conducted by Forrester research entitled “The State of Retail Online” points to retailers’ growing reliance on email communications within their integrated online marketing efforts. Of the 137 US online retailers surveyed email to house lists was cited as the number one online marketing tactic used in 2004 at 91%, up from 86% in 2003. In addition, email continued to perform well generating an average conversion rate of 4.3% demonstrating email’s powerful impact to drive marketing return on investment and sales.
“Merchants have an incredible opportunity with this partnership to truly harness the power and efficiency of the email medium,” said Al DiGuido, CEO of Bigfoot Interactive. “By combining the leading commerce and email communications offerings in the marketplace we have created the ultimate integrated e-solution for merchants interested in maximizing their customer and marketing efforts.
