PORTLAND, Ore. - June 15, 2004 - Unicru(r) Inc. today announced that The Sports Authority, Inc. (NYSE:TSA) has selected Unicru to meet all of their corporate and store-level hiring needs, displacing an incumbent applicant tracking system. The new agreement includes a multi-year extension of its Unicru relationship to optimize the service and productivity of its employees in the athletic retailer`s 389 US locations. In selecting Unicru`s Total Workforce Acquisition solution The Sports Authority is now able to rely on a single vendor for the sourcing, screening, matching, assessing, interviewing and hiring of professional, managerial and hourly staff.
"Our position and brand awareness in this competitive industry depends on the customer-facing aspects--our employees--being at the top of that list," said Micah Moore, Manager of Talent Acquisition at The Sports Authority. "We selected the Unicru Salaried Solution because of the success we`ve had with Unicru at the store level in finding and hiring employees who are the best match for The Sports Authority. The added bonus is the positive impact it has had on our bottom line costs with respect to decreased turnover and consistent increases in tenure."
Adds Chris Marsh, Unicru president and CEO, "An industry leader like The Sports Authority who commits to excellent operations and technological innovation at the store level can only benefit from advancing smart hiring processes across the board.
