Standard Interface, Strong Functionality and Best Practices-Based Implementation Will Empower Customers to Achieve Low Total Cost of Ownership

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Jan. 12, 2004) – HighJump Software, the leader in providing comprehensive and adaptable supply chain execution (SCE) solutions, and GERS Retail Systems, a leading provider of business solutions for retailers, today announced a strategic alliance to offer retail customers an integrated suite of planning, merchandising and extended SCE functionality. The companies have worked together to develop a standard interface between HighJump’s Supply Chain Advantage® SCE suite and GERS’ Enterprise1 merchandise management system. Joint customers will be able to achieve low total cost of system ownership by capitalizing on the combination of best-of-breed, retail-specific functionality and a best practices-based implementation.

Through the partnership, GERS and HighJump will work closely to develop, maintain and support standard integration between the two solutions. This will provide customers ongoing upgradeability and the support necessary to integrate Supply Chain Advantage with Enterprise1. Since the tool set will be maintained with each new release, customers can sustain lower cost of ownership over time.

"HighJump’s tremendous momentum in the retail space, strong SCE solution set, and unique adaptability make it an ideal complement for GERS and the proven merchandising solutions we offer," said Jim Henderson, President and CEO of GERS Retail Systems. "The combination of these solutions will strengthen our ability to present a more robust, comprehensive warehousing and inventory management solution to existing customers and prospects."

"Our partnership with GERS and the resulting breadth of retail-specific solutions represents an unmatched offering for our combined retail customer base," said Chris Heim, President and CEO of HighJump Software. "With GERS’ proven business process solution set and HighJump’s adaptable supply chain execution solutions, we can now meet a wider set of retail demands for sophisticated supply chain execution."
