VCOMMERCE CORPORATION NAMES AWARD-WINNING TECHNOLOGIST PADIYAR SENIOR VP OF TECHNOLOGY

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., January 16, 2002 -- Vcommerce Corporation, a supply chain execution solutions provider, today announced that award-winning technologist Sunil Padiyar has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Technology. Padiyar has an outstanding track record in leading development teams and executing to strategic plan.

Prior to joining Vcommerce, Padiyar served as the Vice President of Product Development & CTO at Interact Commerce Corporation, a subsidiary of the Sage Group, plc, and a world leader in providing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for medium and large corporations. Padiyar joined SalesLogix as a vice president of product development and a founding member, and helped grow the organization from a six-person startup to a public company employing over 600 people. During the late 80s to early 90s Padiyar worked at Novell, Inc., as a director of software engineering for the NetWare operating system group. At Novell he managed over a hundred engineers to produce a few of the best selling versions of NetWare operating system, including 4.0, which at that time became the largest selling networking software in the world. Padiyar is the recipient of over a hundred awards from various computer industry publications and organizations worldwide.

Padiyar holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Iowa. He also holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronics and Communications engineering from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India.
